Rooney Is Staying. What The Hell?

Yes. When all United fans were already mentally prepared to see Roo leave and possibly play for United, Wayne has dropped another bombshell. He's staying. Yup. I do feel outsmarted by Rooney. Embarrassing.
"You just got merk'd, Rooney style."
The vandalized poster has now been cleaned off.

Fergie said :

It’s been a difficult week, but the intensity of the coverage is what we expect at Manchester United. I said to the boy that the door is always open and I’m delighted Wayne has agreed to stay.

Sometimes, when you’re in a club, it can be hard to realise just how big it is and it takes something like the events of the last few days to make you understand.

I think Wayne now understands what a great club Manchester United is.

I’m pleased he has accepted the challenge to guide the younger players and establish himself as one of United’s great players. It shows character and belief in what we stand for.

I'm sure everyone involved with the Club will now get behind Wayne and show him the support he needs to produce the performances we know he is capable of.

And Rooney's statement:

I’m delighted to sign another deal at United. In the last couple of days, I’ve talked to the Manager and the owners and they’ve convinced me this is where I belong. I said on Wednesday the Manager’s a genius and it’s his belief and support that have convinced me to stay.

I’m signing a new deal in the absolute belief that the management, coaching staff, board and owners are totally committed to making sure United maintains its proud winning history – which is the reason I joined the Club in the first place.

I’m sure the fans over the last week have felt let down by what they’ve read and seen. But my position was from concern over the future. The fans have been brilliant with me since I arrived and it’s up to me through my performances to win them over again.

IAN HOLLOWAY... TAKE A BOW!

Ian Holloway, one of the funniest, optimistic and blunt managers has just solidified his status as LEGEND! Ian Holloway went on an apoplectic fit on Wayne Rooney's attitude towards his manager, Sir Alex Ferguson.

Also in the video is former United players Steve Bruce and Roy Keane and former player under Sir Alex, Alex McLeish who all gave their opinions but chose a calmer route.

Cow?

Sir Alex Ferguson had to face the irritating questions of those pesky journalist amidst the Wayne Rooney saga. Sir Alex Ferguson goes on and compares players to a cow. It's a metaphor. Not an insult as what everyone is saying. A smart one though. Something like Cantona's seagulls quote.

Fergie : Wayne Has Decided To Leave

After much speculation from the media about Rooney's future with Manchester United, Sir Alex Ferguson has come out and spoken honestly about the situation to MUTV and he has said that Wayne Rooney does not want to add an extension to his contract.

David Gill, chief executive of United received a call from Rooney's agent saying that Wayne Rooney was not going to sign his new contract;"I was in the office on August 14 when David told me he’d had a call from his agent saying that Wayne wasn’t going to sign his contract. So then David came across to see me. He said he couldn’t believe it and neither could I. I was dumbfounded, I couldn’t understand it at all because only months before he’d said he was at the biggest club in the world and he wanted to stay for life. We just don’t know what’s changed the boy’s mind. David was shocked, I was shocked. "

Sir Alex also said that there was no row between the two at all contradicting the statements from the press.
Ferguson looks dejected as he faces the press before a Champions League encounter with Bursaspor. The journalists were asked to keep all Rooney questions till the latter part of the presser.
How ironic does this look now? He kisses the badge on his chest, then puts in a transfer request, Wayne Rooney,Wayne Rooney.

I want him to end up like this hobo

Arise, Sir Giggsy

Sir Alex Ferguson has backed Ryan Giggs for a knighthood. Fergie said "There is one accolade which has yet to materialise for Ryan, although I trust it is only a matter of time before it does.

"How I would love to adorn my teamsheet with the words 'Sir Ryan Giggs'.

The Sun has a dig in how Giggsy would look like if he gets knighted. Personally, I would definetly LOVE to see Giggsy, one of my idols get knighted.

FACEBOOK FANS' ALL-TIME BARCLAYS PREMIER LEAGUE XI

Recently, Facebook fans of Barclays Football (including myself) voted on the best player ever in the Premier League for each position.
The Great Dane, Peter Schmeichel helped Manchester United reach their first Treble ever in 1999.
Former teammate of Schmeichel, captain of Manchester United Gary Neville gets his spot as best right-back.
John Terry is definitely not crying because he was voted top centreback. An iconic picture as JT bawls out after slipping away a penalty kick that could have won him the Champions League title.
JT joins Tony Adams, formerly of Arsenal in an all time Premier League centreback partnership.
Frenchman Patrice Evra beat out Ashley Cole for a spot as best left back.
Nowadays, left winger Ryan Giggs has less chest hair. Giggsy couldn't help it when he scored a brilliant solo effort against Arsenal in an 1999 FA Cup replay. With a majestic left foot, Sir Ryan could make a movie with the title " The Curious Case of Ryan Giggs" as he grows younger every season. Giggs is the only person to ever score in EVERY Premier League season so far.
"He Score's GOALS, SCHOLES"
Giggsy's friend since their days in the youth system at United , central midfielder Paul Scholes who is also like a bottle of wine as Ryan Giggs.
Another great central midfielder, , Steven Gerrard. A scouser with a passion for his club, Stevie G is a true Liverpudlian captain.
There is only one David Beckham. Becks scores from free kicks and corner kicks. He achieved a lot with Manchester United, the club he supported as a kid like in 1999 when he won the Treble with United.
Frenchman Thierry Henry may now be known as a handballer but one cannot deny his talent. He scored, scored, scored and scored. Won awards but sadly went to Barcelona.
Le Roi, Monsieur Eric Cantona was also voted greatest striker. An enigma with wonderful quotes and shocking moments in his career (yes, THAT one at Crystal Palace), Cantona is still greatly admired by United fans and neutrals alike.
AND THE MANAGER:

Sir Alex Ferguson has won everything. Countless league titles, FA Cups, League Cups, European Cups, Club World Cup.. (i think you get it). 1999 was the highlight of Fergie's career as he lead Man United to their first Treble ever.

The 12th UEFA Elite Club Coaches Forum was held at UEFA headquarters in Nyon on the afternoon of Wednesday and Thursday morning and was the occasion for top club coaches to discuss the latest trends in European football and express their views on the major issues affecting the elite club game.

A number of Europe's leading coaches have been invited and among those who have confirmed their attendance are: José Mourinho (Real Madrid CF), Josep Guardiola (FC Barcelona), Sir Alex Ferguson (Manchester United FC), Carlo Ancelotti (Chelsea FC), Roy Hodgson (Liverpool FC), Claude Puel (Olympique Lyonnais), Didier Deschamps (Olympique de Marseille), Massimiliano Allegri (AC Milan), Claudio Ranieri (AS Roma), Felix Magath (FC Schalke 04), Thomas Schaaf (SV Werder Bremen), Martin Jol (AFC Ajax), Jorge Jesus (SL Benfica), Jesualdo Ferreira (Málaga CF), Nikos Nioplias (Panathinaikos FC), Jean Fernandez (AJ Auxerre), Thorsten Fink (FC Basel 1893).

Spain's Real Madrid loving sports paper wants you to believe that there is a certain animosity between Pep Guardiola and José Mourinho. But....
Seconds later....They were all over each other.
Sir Alex Ferguson and Carlo Ancelotti were also smiling together.
Can you see how close Fergie and Ancelotti are???

Man United Sign Bébé

Sir Alex Ferguson has made one of the biggest shocks this summer by splashing out around £7.5million on Portuguese striker Bébé. The 20-year-old joins United subject to passing a medical and will take United’s summer spending to around £25million.

Never heard of him?? Me neither till I almost got shocked when I saw on the official site site that another player was coming to United.

1. His full name is Tiago Manuel Dias Correia, otherwise known as Bébé. (Haha, very funny)

2. United signed him from Portuguese club Vitória de Guimarães.

3. He was raised in an orphanage and spent most of his childhood on the streets.

4. Sir Alex met Bébé on Tuesday and immediately signed him up after talks. Well it’s not that hard to sell the club to a player is it?

5. The 20-year-old only joined Guimarães five weeks ago from Portuguese third division club, Estrala da Amadora.

7. United’s former assistant, Carlos Queiroz, recommended him to Sir Alex.

8. He is 6ft 2in tall, strong in the air and a technically-gifted striker with a powerful right foot.

9. Oh yeah, he doesn't speak English. But no worries since compatriot Nani has stepped in to help in language barriers.

Man United Win the Community Shield by 3-1

A banner of Carlo Ancelotti before kick-off.
A flying banner of Sir Alex Ferguson.
A Goal is a Goal: Chicharito scores even though the ball hit his nose before it hit the net. Also on the score sheet, Valencia (44th) and Berbatov(90th+1). Salomon Kalou only managed a consolation goal for the Blues.
Christine Bleakley was there at Wembley to show support to Frank Lampard.
Fabio Capello looks on at Ashley Cole. BTW, Ashley Cole performed badly. Not a good show to put on for the England manager.
Captain Vidic lifts the trophy.

Sir Alex Ferguson skips Manchester United's Open Training Session-to watch Werder Bremen against Fulham

While Wayne Rooney and Ryan Giggs share a joke while Berbatov acts serious;
Sir Alex Ferguson was 200 miles away in London at Craven Cottage to watch Fulham against Werder Bremen which means;
He was there as a scout to watch Mesut Özil, Werder Bremen's main man and one of the World Cup's revelations.
Gee...I wonder where he got that from....

Believe-Man United's Mantra...hmm....

Well, I don't want to speculate but I just can't stop! Sir Alex Ferguson has said that he won't open the cheque book but Arsenal and Chelsea are also tracking the German midfielder and he doesn't want to ruin his chances.

Oh Yeah: Fulham won 5-1.
