Paul Scholes Has Retired

The Ginger Prince has retired. His retirement was a typical Paul Scholes announcement. Not when the season was on or before the final against Barcelona but when everyone had left for holidays and international duty.

It was sad that Paul Scholes' last game had to end in a defeat but his contributions will never be forgotten.

A proof of how Paul Scholes is admired by Barcelona players. Five FC Barcelona players wanted to swap shirts with Paul Scholes last night. Andrés Iniesta beat them all to it.
Scholes may have hung up his boots but will join United's coaching staff next season. A real bonus as he can help develop our young midfielders.

Sir Alex said " Paul has always been fully committed to this club and I am delighted he will be joining the coaching staff from next season. Paul has always been inspirational to players of all ages and we know that will continue in his new role."

A testimonial will be played in August.

P.S: Sorry for my lack of posting. It has been a while. I won't be that active on Blogging until October. So sorry but after that, I will post every day!!

Manchester United Youth Player Scores A Stunner

Paul Pogba, the boy who almost made United sued by his former club, Le Havre scored a stunner David Beckham would be proud of in the FA Youth Cup against Portsmouth.

I knew he was good but this boy is something special.

Manchester United Players Visit Children's Hospital In Manchester

Manchester United's players visited patients at cancer research centre The Christie and the Royal Manchester Children's Hospital.

It has almost become a tradition as the Reds annually visit the patients as they delivered presents to the patients, many who will not be home for Christmas.
I love this festive season.

Chilean Miners Visit Old Trafford & Carrington

These 33 men need no introduction after their amazing survival story to be caved in under neath the ground for 69 days before being rescued. Manchester United gave the men a tour of Old Trafford and their training ground, Carrington.
The players pose with the miners at Carrington.
Wayne Rooney was happy to sign a football for a Chilean miner.

Even the fans gave the miners a warm welcome in a chilly night at Old Trafford.

Manchester United Have So Much Debt...

...that they cannot even afford to print an extra "Darren Fletcher 24" shirt printed. The Scotsman had a blow to the mouth that have left his kit bloodstained. Albert the kitman did not bring any extra kits for Fletch so he was basically anonymous for the rest of the game.

Another reason to protest against the Glazers. Green and Gold Till The Club Is Sold.

Manchester Derby Table Football Style

The real Manchester derby may have ended in a 0-0 stalemate at the City of Manchester Stadium which may have geared up the lads for quite a scoreline. According to Rio Ferdinand, United won the match by 10 goals but they could not keep a clean sheet as the City boys put 3 goals past United.
James Milner, Adam Johnson, Rio Ferdinand, Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez, Darron Gibson and Tinchy Styder all played table football to mark the opening of Nike's first "football only" store in the world on Market Street in Manchester.

Why is Adam Johnson pouting his mouth?
Why Tinchy Styder?? Sean Wright-Phillips was too busy apparently so they went for his lookalike.

Rooney Is Staying. What The Hell?

Yes. When all United fans were already mentally prepared to see Roo leave and possibly play for United, Wayne has dropped another bombshell. He's staying. Yup. I do feel outsmarted by Rooney. Embarrassing.
"You just got merk'd, Rooney style."
The vandalized poster has now been cleaned off.

Fergie said :

It’s been a difficult week, but the intensity of the coverage is what we expect at Manchester United. I said to the boy that the door is always open and I’m delighted Wayne has agreed to stay.

Sometimes, when you’re in a club, it can be hard to realise just how big it is and it takes something like the events of the last few days to make you understand.

I think Wayne now understands what a great club Manchester United is.

I’m pleased he has accepted the challenge to guide the younger players and establish himself as one of United’s great players. It shows character and belief in what we stand for.

I'm sure everyone involved with the Club will now get behind Wayne and show him the support he needs to produce the performances we know he is capable of.

And Rooney's statement:

I’m delighted to sign another deal at United. In the last couple of days, I’ve talked to the Manager and the owners and they’ve convinced me this is where I belong. I said on Wednesday the Manager’s a genius and it’s his belief and support that have convinced me to stay.

I’m signing a new deal in the absolute belief that the management, coaching staff, board and owners are totally committed to making sure United maintains its proud winning history – which is the reason I joined the Club in the first place.

I’m sure the fans over the last week have felt let down by what they’ve read and seen. But my position was from concern over the future. The fans have been brilliant with me since I arrived and it’s up to me through my performances to win them over again.

United Fans Vandalize Nike Banner At Manchester Nike Store

Wayne Rooney gets a wake up call from fans saying that if he'd join City - a very likely possibility if he wants to do a Tevez and get extra cash- he will be dead. The words are being taken more literally than figuratively and should be if Rooney does change his allegiance to the blue half of Manchester.

Mark my words. If he does go to Citeh, he will never be safe for his entire life. Make sure you're kid is home schooled. Kids are mean these days.

Having said that, I don't think this is a threat. Maybe its just a statement of fact. Whatever the meaning of the context, one should not resort to murder.

Fergie : Wayne Has Decided To Leave

After much speculation from the media about Rooney's future with Manchester United, Sir Alex Ferguson has come out and spoken honestly about the situation to MUTV and he has said that Wayne Rooney does not want to add an extension to his contract.

David Gill, chief executive of United received a call from Rooney's agent saying that Wayne Rooney was not going to sign his new contract;"I was in the office on August 14 when David told me he’d had a call from his agent saying that Wayne wasn’t going to sign his contract. So then David came across to see me. He said he couldn’t believe it and neither could I. I was dumbfounded, I couldn’t understand it at all because only months before he’d said he was at the biggest club in the world and he wanted to stay for life. We just don’t know what’s changed the boy’s mind. David was shocked, I was shocked. "

Sir Alex also said that there was no row between the two at all contradicting the statements from the press.
Ferguson looks dejected as he faces the press before a Champions League encounter with Bursaspor. The journalists were asked to keep all Rooney questions till the latter part of the presser.
How ironic does this look now? He kisses the badge on his chest, then puts in a transfer request, Wayne Rooney,Wayne Rooney.

I want him to end up like this hobo

Macheda: Rooney Is "Working Class and Vulgar"

Federico Macheda must be really careful when the Manchester United squad meet up after the international break after a gaffe during an interview about under performing teammate Wayne Rooney when away with Italy's Under 21's.

Federico was speaking to Gazetta Dello Sport when he let this slip out.

"Rooney is a really great person, he always gives me advice, but he’s a bit working class and vulgar."

Macheda was also clearing up rumours whether he will be going on loan to former club, Lazio.

Bad BAD bad thing, Kiko.

Dimitar Berbatov's Hattrick Against Liverpool

Eat your words, Berbatov critics. Dimitar Berbatov scored a hattrick against worst rivals, Liverpool in their 3-2 win. Berba scored twice with a stooping header and superb bicycle kick before a brace by Steven Gerrard got Liverpool leveled at 2-2 after Jonny Evans brought down Fernando Torres in the box and a sublime free kick from Gerrard with Darren Fletcher and O'Shea forming a gap in a disorganized wall. But Berba saved United's blushes after a towering header at the 84th minute.

United Draw Blanks With Rangers, Rooney Starts, Valencia Gets a Horrific Injury

United drew 0-0 with Rangers. Even though United played attacking football, the Rangers defense was very hard to beat.
Rooney was spotted at Man United's hotel The Lowry with a bag with Kai's face on it. Aww...
All the attention was on Wayne Rooney since it was his first appearance for United after the lurid allegations about his private life was revealed.
Steven Naismith calls the physios to hurry up after a horrific ankle injury for Antonio Valencia.
The United players were trying to calm him while waiting for the physios.
There was 6 minutes of time added in injury time due to this injury.
Antonio holds on to a physio's hand as he breathes with an oxygen tube.
But he still thanked the crowd after they gave him applauses and standing ovations when he was stretchered out of the pitch.

Valencia assisted most of Rooney's goals last season.

The video below shows how he got injured. Don't watch it if you're squeamish.
