FIFA Ends Arteta's Dream of Playing For England

It wasn't as if it was going to happen but the FA have crushed Mikel Arteta's dream of ever representing England after an insider opened the Big Fat Book of FIFA Rules.

Article 18.1.a within the Fifa statutes outlines that any player who has represented their country in an official competition or tournament, at whatever level, would at that time need to have held a passport for the country they later wish to play for in order to be permitted to make the switch.

Arteta played for Spain in the U16 European Championships and then in the FIFA World Championships at U17 level, but didn’t hold a British passport at the time ... therefore leaving him unable to represent anyone other than Spain at international level.

FIFA Inspector At Old Trafford

The inspectors for FIFA were present at Old Trafford to inspect Old Trafford, which is one of the stadiums selected for England's bid to host the 2018 World Cup.
Sir Alex Ferguson and David Gill laugh with the inspecting delegates.
Wayne Rooney and England captain Rio Ferdinand were also present at the Theatre of Dreams.

Excuse the Pun: Roy Not So Keane on Mikel Arteta to play for England

As you may already know, Mikel Arteta can play for England since he has lived in Britain for years. He said he might consider playing for England since his international career in Spain is a doubt because of playmakers like Xavi, Iniesta and Fabregas. He has never played at Senior level for Spain making him eligible to be part of the 3 Lions Squad.

Roy Keane doesn't think Arteta will have the same desire to play for another country.

Paul the Octopus Has Become the Ambassador of England 2018 World Cup Bid

Believe it or not, Paul the Psychic Octopus has been persuaded to join England's bid team for the 2018 World Cup.

It doesn't really matter, does it since England definitely will get the green light. The troubles South Africa 2010, which lost money, and Brazil 2014, which again could lose cash,

FIFA would want a reliable, old-school host nation with a good ready made infrastructure, where full stadia are guaranteed for every game.

An England Player Takes Out A Court Injunction.

Ahh...Injunctions. The way most footballers are doing to maintain their goody two shoes image.

Clue: The multi-millionaire England international is a father in a long-term relationship. He won the restrictive order banning a woman from publicising personal details about him. Like cheating.

Hmm, wonder who could it be? Any guesses?

Lampsy's "Equaliser" Against Germany

England lost to Germany 4-1 after being sloppy in defence and poor in counter attacks. But the score was supposed to be 4-2. See for yourselves...

England vs Germany already predicted....in a commercial!

Life in the Dugout of the England squad

Fabio Capello curses in English and Spanish????? And Stuart Pierce gets bullied. And the ecstasy after the final whistle.

England won over Slovenia due to.....beer

In his post-match interview, Capello told reporters: “The players were allowed to drink beer before the game. You can ask them. I changed something, I used my imagination. It was free South African beer.”

Here is John Terry showing his determination for the England squad. Maybe the beer caused him 2 do this.

Alex Gerrard shows off Blackberry given from hubby Steven

Diamond studded Blackberry with a white background and Stevie G's number in red.....such an easy guess...but its not (the guess, that is)...

Rooney apologises for rant

Rooney's statement

Princes' William and Harry leave England match disappointed

Harry's face sums it up for England fans
After the match, the two princes went to meet another prince, David Beckham
What is HRH Harry doing?
Wide smiles, not so much for England fans.

The Wayne Rooney World Cup Pizza

Mulberry Street, a pizzeria in Notting Hill, is celebrating/cashing in on this year's World Cup by dishing up their latest creation: The Rooney.

As the name suggests, it's a pizza lovingly fashioned to resemble the ogreish face of England talisman Wayne 'Wazza' Rooney. And whaddyaknow, it looks surprisingly like him. Black olives for nostrils, red onion for the mouth, green peppers for eyebrows. Its like eating Rooney's face. Would u??? I wouldn't

You tell'em Wayne!

England were held to a goalless draw by Algeria. The fans were very dissapointed and decided to boo England instead of cheering. Wayne, the very calm man decided to tell the fans what he feels. I say, GO WAYNE!

Check out this two (my favs, btw) sites on what they have to say about this situation. Two very contrasting opinions. You Choose.
