Manchester United Train For Rangers Game

As United put the Everton game behind them, here are some shots of the players training before a "Battle of Britain" clash against Rangers FC in the Champions League.
Not many players are more experienced than Ryan Giggs. In fact, only Paulo Maldini and Raul have made more Champions League appearances as Giggsy is about to embark on his 20th European campaign when United face Rangers.
Fergie is of course delighted in facing his former club which is managed by his former assistant Walter Smith.
Wayne Rooney was also there to train and all the cameras were on him as his private life gets magnetized everyday .
Anderson was also there after recovering from a 6 month injury from a cruciate ligament.
@RioFerdy5 follow him on twitter... Rio Ferdinand also return to training after recovering from an ankle injury on the eve of the World Cup.

UEFA Elite Clubs Meeting

The 12th UEFA Elite Club Coaches Forum was held at UEFA headquarters in Nyon on the afternoon of Wednesday and Thursday morning and was the occasion for top club coaches to discuss the latest trends in European football and express their views on the major issues affecting the elite club game.

A number of Europe's leading coaches have been invited and among those who have confirmed their attendance are: José Mourinho (Real Madrid CF), Josep Guardiola (FC Barcelona), Sir Alex Ferguson (Manchester United FC), Carlo Ancelotti (Chelsea FC), Roy Hodgson (Liverpool FC), Claude Puel (Olympique Lyonnais), Didier Deschamps (Olympique de Marseille), Massimiliano Allegri (AC Milan), Claudio Ranieri (AS Roma), Felix Magath (FC Schalke 04), Thomas Schaaf (SV Werder Bremen), Martin Jol (AFC Ajax), Jorge Jesus (SL Benfica), Jesualdo Ferreira (Málaga CF), Nikos Nioplias (Panathinaikos FC), Jean Fernandez (AJ Auxerre), Thorsten Fink (FC Basel 1893).

Spain's Real Madrid loving sports paper wants you to believe that there is a certain animosity between Pep Guardiola and José Mourinho. But....
Seconds later....They were all over each other.
Sir Alex Ferguson and Carlo Ancelotti were also smiling together.
Can you see how close Fergie and Ancelotti are???

Michel Platini Faints In Restaurant in Johannesburg, Is Hospitalised , Is

UEFA president Michel Platini was taken to hospital tonight after fainting in a Johannesburg restaurant.

Platini, 55, was taken to hospital for tests as a precaution but his adviser William Gaillard said he had been told “not to worry”.

There had initially been reports that Platini had suffered a heart attack but Gaillard insisted that was not the case.

“He’s fine,” Gaillard said. “He’s conscious and a heart attack has been ruled out.

“He has had a bit of a fever recently because he’s got a cold and hadn’t eaten anything all day.”

Platini had reportedly been dining with former Liverpool manager Gerard Houllier and former Scotland boss Andy Roxburgh.

May be it was the Scouse factor...we'll never know
