Enzo Zidane - Tipped to NOT Follow Dad's France's Footsteps?

I previously published a post saying they MIGHT be a possibility that Enzo Zidane might opt to play for Spain, instead of France, the team where his dad, Zidane played during his glory days. Now, Jorge Valdano, sporting director of Real Madrid says that "there will be a duel" between Spain and France over Enzo.

France have expressed interest to have him in their squad but Spain U-16 coach Gines Melendez has announced his intentions to call up Zidane Jr. to play for La Furia Roja.

The money is on Spain to win the battle for Enzo after France's embarrassing exit from the 2010 World Cup in contrast to Spain's who won the trophy. But he is just 15 years old, after all? He has a lot of thinking to do.

Il Est Comme Son Père! Enzo Zidane - To Spain???

French legend Zinedine Zidane has said to the pesky people (aka media) that son Enzo (full name Enzo Alan Zidane Fernandez) may choose to play for Spain instead of wearing "le maillot bleu" for Les Blues.

Zidane has four sons, three of whom play in Real Madrid’s infantil team. Enzo Zidane, who qualifies for the Spaniards after living in Spain for more than eight years, has been told by the pesky people as a future star and was rumoured to be on the verge of a call up to Spain’s U15s last year.

Yesterday Zinedine told Spanish paper AS his son wasn’t necessarily going to follow in his father’s footsteps. "When he’s called up, that’s the time that I will decide. If Spain call him up, it will be good, and if it’s France, it will be good too. For the moment, he is enjoying football with Madrid and that’s what’s important."

He really is like his father. He can even do the famous "roulette". Pause at 0:46, where they single out Enzo. Is it me or is the other dude in the center looks a bit like Kaká??
