Daniel Craig Hair Style

James Bond film star has hair we can duplicate, although it did not model today might be also one of the alternative hair options for you all, and in hair growth is now much hair models are very good and very interesting aktraktif therefore I try to take the example of a haircut Daniel Craig, if you are interested please continue to visit this blog and get a haircut your idol artist here ok ...

Going Rouge

No, I am not talking about Sarah Palin's new book, which is actually titled "Going Rogue," I am talking about the trend in Hollywood where blondes and brunettes are going rouge- red, that is. It also seems that natural red-heads are hotter than ever!

I've always loved red hair. There is something so rare and beautiful about it. My one stipulation is this: I only like shades of red that can occur in nature. Fire-engine reds or obviously fake looking red tones definitely do not appeal to me.

I sometimes wish I was brave enough to go rouge myself. I don't think I have the skin tone (or guts) to do it, but I have this fantasy of going to a wig store and just giving some red locks a whirl- just for fun! I think my obviously brown eyebrows would clash a bit, but it would all be in good fun.

The first red-haired beauty I'd like to discuss is the gorgeous Ashlee Simpson, who seems to have the skin tone to carry off every hair color from black, brown, golden and bleach blonde. I have to admit, her new red shade did take some getting used to for me (and shocker- I didn't even like it at first!) but now, I can't imagine her without it. I love how edgy, yet soft it looks on her. She is lucky to have the coloring to pull off so many shades, I am definitely envious of her ability to rock so many looks.

Then, there is Lindsay Lohan. I know, I know, she is not in a good place right now...but when she was in her prime, I coveted her gorgeous red hair. She also seems to be one of those girls that can pull off every haircolor- from rich raven to bleach blonde (which she is right now). However, I love her hair best in the varrying shades of red she's had in the past.

Joanna Garcia, previously a teen mom on the show "Reba," and more recently seen in the sadly cancelled "Priviledged" (*tear) and even more recently on "Gossip Girl" (love) used to be blonde and I almost didn't recognize her when she debuted her red locks on "Privileged." The color is perfection for her skin tone, and made her more appealing to me (and it seems to have helped her career too!)
One of my favorite natural redheads is the stunning Isla Fisher. What can I say? She is perfection! Her gorgeous, thick, long red hair always looks healthy and shiny and well, just simply stunning.
Now, I don't watch "Mad Men" (gasp!) but my husband told me about one of the gorgeous cast members from this show, Christina Hendricks. The voluptuous star has a gorgeous bright red color, and she has the confidence to carry it off too!

So, what do you think of the red-hair trend? Do you think it will last? Who are your favorite Hollywood red heads (I also want to give honorable mentioned to Debra Messing and Marcia Cross.)

Have you ever gone red- if so, did you love it? If you haven't would you have the guts to do it?

Let me know in the comments below. As always, thank you so much for reading and I hope you all have a great night (or day, if you are reading this tomorrow!).

Veronika.

Motivation Mondays: Health, Beauty and Fitness Inspiration

Recently, makeup artist guru extraordinaire Kandee Johnson, who is known for her sweet, positive "glass half full" nature said something that I found to be very impactful on her blog:

let the words that come out of your mouth...encourage, inspire, compliment, and brighten someones day! When you speak positive words into others...you'll be surprised how it actually "speaks" positivity into your own heart and spirit...
never let a compliment rot in your heart because you felt funny telling someone....set your compliments free the moment you think them....you never know how many times that person will replay what you said in their mind...and it can really change their outlook on themselves....and their world!!! Spread compliments, love, and something positive today!!! I'll do it too....let's sweeten up the world!!! can't wait to tell you the surprise.....

I've always been the type of person that (sincerely) compliments people. I never keep anything I have to say inside, because I always feel like it is my duty to brighten someone's day. You never know how a comment can change someone's day or lift their spirits or self confidence. The best part is, complimenting someone else, like Kandee says, actually makes me feel good about myself. It releases a positive energy and distributes good karma into the world.

The idea of spreading positivity and kindness is what inspired me to do the blog post. I realized that there are so many beautiful people (both on the inside and outside) in my life...and although I love to share my thoughts and opinions all things fashion, beauty and makeup, I think it is also important to showcase the people who inspire and motivate me.

Maja is a beautiful, intelligent woman I met recently at my cousin's wedding in my hometown. I was immediately drawn to her because we were both wearing a black flower hair accessory in our hair! It was fate! We ended up chatting the night away about all things girly. It is literally a miracle that we did not meet sooner...we are like long-lost twins!
In addition to her beauty and awesome career, I was most fascinated by her fitness routine. She is one of the most fit women I've ever seen- she has the kind of body many women covet- thin and toned, with no bulkiness in sight! I asked her how she achieved such a fit body, and she agreed to share her wealth of knowledge with my readers.

I just started back at the gym after a post-wedding bout of laziness, so I hope Maja's tips inspire you as much as they did me. Note that this blog contains two parts. This first part will focus on health and fitness, and in part two, Maja will talk fashion and beauty with us (because she has a ton of product-faves I know you guys will love!)

Here's what Maja had to say about her fitness routine, and tips for overall health:

Name: Marija M

Age: 25

Career: Director of Services at an IT Security company

1. You were a ballet dancer for 16 years, what do you do to stay in shape now?

Ballet was a huge part of my life, and still holds a very dear spot in my heart. I danced English style, Royal Academy of Dance ballet which is one of the most formal styles, adhering to traditional, very technically driven ballet. So I’m lucky to have those years in my back pocket when it comes to discipline and staying fit. Although I only dance recreationally now in a few adult classes, I am in the gym 6 – 7 days a week to maintain and improve (that, combined with a clean diet of course). I think one of the most important things for working out is Variety! You need to keep you body guessing as opposed to falling into a rut. This will also prevent you from getting bored and dreading it. Specifically for me, I love the classes my gym offers. My favorites are, ‘Core & Sculpt’ as well as ‘Step’ class (great for the glutes!)

In general, I tend to do more cardio than weight training which is just a personal preference. Weight training is something that everyone should be engaging in. For girls similar to myself (super girly) DO NOT BE SCARED! When I really started to get into the gym I was petrified of bulking up, or becoming too muscular. Stemming from my history in dance and love for the Victoria’s Secret models, I tend to prefer the long, lean, toned look over the muscular look – BUT quickly realized how important strength training is for your overall health and well-being. Here’s the secret that took me a VERY LONG TIME to believe/trust. LOW WEIGHT – HIGH REPS. That is the golden rule for me and when I don’t think I could ever do even just ONE more squat, you can probably do 3 more. Always ALWAYS ALWAYSSS, push yourself!

A sample of what a regular week would look like for me is:

SUNDAY:
Cardio: Elliptical trainer, 60 min
Incline: 70% (high incline really targets the glutes and hamstring area)
Resistance: 35% (lower resistance is good in the sense that it helps keep you in the fat burning stages (as opposed to the cardio stage)

MONDAY:
Core Conditioning – Focusing on strengthening the abdominals and back muscles using a mat, stability ball and weighted ball: Approximately 1 – 1.25 hours

TUESDAY:
Legs – 50 min
Squats (regular and sumo) - Approx 100 squats – No added weight
Lunges - 150 lunges (each leg) – No added weight
Leg Extensions - Approximately 50 Leg Extension – 10 lbs
Leg curls – Approximately 60 – 12.5 lbs

WEDNESDAY:
Cardio: Elliptical trainer, 60 min- Incline: 70% , Resistance: 35%
I also do a Hip Hop or Ballet class on Wednesdays at a local school if I don’t want to go to the gym.

THURSDAY
Interval Drills – 60 min – This class has a cardio element consisting of athletic drills alternating with resistance drills

Core Conditioning – 60 min - Focusing on strengthening the abdominals and back muscles using a mat, stability ball and weighted ball

FRIDAY
Step Class or Boot Camp

SATURDAY
Body Sculpt - Full body conditioning using 3 lb dumbbells, step, stability ball and mat!

Also, to close on this one, if there is one recommend I would make - it is, to go out right now, and invest $20 in the book “Making the Cut” by Jillian Michaels . This is my lean body bible!!!! When you try it, you will know why!

2. What are some foods/snacks/ meals that you would recommend for women who are trying to eat healthier?

I’d like to start off by telling everyone who is reading this, that I eat 7 – 8 times/day! Secondly, I’d like to squash any rumors of Carbohydrates.

Carbs
50%
of your daily calories should come from COMPLEX carbs. There is a common misconception whereby many women think that a diet rich in protein and low carbs is the master plan, but it can actually limit your potential! Also, avoiding carbs like the plague can lead to binge on simple sugars because you're depleting your body from the supply of glucagon that it needs. Glucagon is what gives you that energy everyone loves you for-subsequently turning you into Little Ms Moody/Grumpy.

Caloric intake:
First and foremost, this is NOT the holy grail, but simple mathematics! If you're looking to lose weight, you just need to burn more calories than you're taking in. If you're maintaining, balance them out, and if you're looking to gain, eat more :).

A great way to calculate what your body need is via the following calculations (Please note this does not take muscle mass into account so the numbers will be lower if you're more built):

BMR
655 + (4.35 * your weight in lbs) + (4.7 * Height in inches) - (4.7 * age in years)

THIS # is your Basal Metabolic Rate (calories you burn each day just from being the fun loving girl you are!!)

CALORIC INTAKE
Take your BMR # and multiply it by:
1.375 - if you're mildly active
1.55 - if you're moderately active
1.725 - if you're very active
1.9 – If you're over the top extremely active

=the # of calories you should be consuming daily if you want to maintain your current weight.

Connecting all this back to carbs (I go off on a lot of tangents) take that last # you calculated and divide it in half, then take that # and divide it by 4 (the # of calories/gram of Carbohydrate)=The # of grams of carbs you need each day! Take that and tell Dr. Atkins to shove it!

*Note* I can’t stress this enough - MUSCLE weighs MORE than fat! So if you're looking to kick it up at the gym or are an active member, do not be discouraged if your weight isn't going down. That little number "screaming at you" on the scale isn't not the 'end-all-be-all', its how you look and feel! Instead of the scale (I hardly weigh myself), I use my clothes to gauge progress - They don't lie to you! If you want to go that extra step (some may think its a little over the top), I take my measurements and record progress/maintain size that way. Click HERE for a great summary of what to measure

This is all nice and pleasant (because you can stop thinking carbs are the end of the world now), BUT it is useless unless you stick with some wholesome COMPLEX carbs vs. the sticky icky SIMPLE ones. Some examples:

Complex Examples
GREEN VEGGIES!- Broccoli, Spinach, Green beans, Cucumbers, Asparagus (Our fridge is full of glorious greens!)
Brown Rice
Unsalted Unleavened Rye Bread
Sweet Potatoe
Oats/Grains

Simple Examples
Anything Bleached (white bread, rice, pasta, sugar)
Refined cereals....(On that thought, anything refined should be banished)

On the average day (I am not an experimental person, so this is usually my meal plan every day) I eat:

Breakfast – 7 am

1 Large glass of water
1 scoop of Greens + (I can’t say enough about Greens plus and their benefits, so CLICK HERE to read all about them – I buy the Orange/tangerine flavor and add 3 squirts of lemon juice)
½ scoop Protein with ¾ cup unsweetened Almond milk
¼ cup of Large Flake Organic Oatmeal

Snack – 10 am

Fruit or Granola bar

Lunch – 1 pm

Turkey Warp with Veggies and Salad
OR
Cottage Cheese with mixed fruit
OR
Chicken breast with salad and rice

Snack – 3 pm

Fruit
OR
Non Fat Organic Yogurt
OR
Nuts (peanuts, almonds, or cashews)

Immediately Before the gym – usually 6 pm

¼ scoop of Oatmeal

Immediately After the gym

Weight training – ½ scoop of protein powder for muscle repair
Cardio – Banana to replenish glycogen supply

Dinner (No earlier than 25 min after the last post gym snack)

Chicken or Fish
Lots of VEGGIES (Zucchini, broccoli, Spinach) with Olive Oil
Small portion of brown rice
Salad

Night time snack (optional)

Unsalted Soy nuts

*Daily vitamins:
Multivitamin (for women)
Glutamine (in my protein powder to keep my immune system optimized)
Vitamin C
Calcium (With a lean diet its hard to get the suggested daily intake amount)
B6
Omega 3-6-9 Oils
CLA (should be 3 times a day – assists with fat burning : ))

My daily caloric intake target is about 1250 on a non-active day and can be up to 1800 on a cheat day (I love candy and pastries and will not deny myself a treat every so often)

Here goes my disclaimer…again…This meal plan is relative to my body, proportions, activity level etc. Your own meal plan should cater to your needs and what your body is telling you. The KEY NOTE to takeaway is CLEAN EATING and no junk!!

3. What do you like to wear to the gym?
Anything Lululemon! They understand a woman’s body especially when she is active! They were a bit better when they were privately owned and operated, but are still the top place for me.

There is more to come from Maja later this week, so watch out for that. In the meantime, if you have any questions for this fitness-guru, please leave them in the comments below, and I will ask Maja to answer them when she can!

I hope you all feel motivated and positive! I was definitely more motivated at the gym today after reading Maja's wise words.

Who inspires you? Let me know in the comments below...and remember, when you see someone and you genuinely enjoy something about them, set that compliment free and brighten someone's day!

Review: Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Serum

I just wanted to write a quick review about Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Serum. I have used it for two blowouts so far, and I very much enjoy it. My favorite aspect about the product is that it really does seem to cut down drying time, even when I air-dry.

Since my first air-drying experiment gone wrong, I have started using an "air-drying" method that works better for me. I use the same products as usual (mousse and the serum) and then I blow dry my roots and set my part. Drying my roots until they are 80-90% dry and then letting the ends air-dry is what seems to work best for my hair.

This method still allows me to achieve volume and my blow out lasts just as long. I think I paid $16 at Trade Secrets for the Skinny Serum. I like this serum better than others I have used because it is lightweight and I like using it prior to blow drying- it makes my hair feel protected and gives my hair a smooth, non-sticky finish. Plus, the morning after air-drying the majority of my hair, my ends feel smooth, not frizzy like they would without the product.

Overall, I would recommend this product for anyone who likes a smooth finish to their blow out, and would like to reduce drying time. I don't know that I would categorize it as a Holy Grail product, but it is a good product that gives good results, for a good price. The instructions say to use one pump of the product, but I like to use 2 because I have longer hair. If you have shorter hair, I would definitely only use 1 pump.

I also should mention that I only use the serum from the nape of my neck, down. I never ever use any kind of serums anywhere near my roots. I find that using any serums near the roots doesn't create a good environment for lasting volume.

Looks from "The Hills"

I was inspired to write today's post after stumbling upon Amy Nadine's beauty blog (she is a makeup artist for Lauren Conrad and other celebrities).

I was a Hills addict before it even existed- that's right, I've been watching since season one of Laguna Beach. I like the drama, the shopping, the California sunshine...what can I say?

What I notice about The Hills, is that all of the characters (and I call them that because though they are real people, the show certainly is not) have very different makeup styles. The one thing they all seem to have in common though, is the desire to show off their golden tans with a little glow to their skin (I approve!)

I'll start with Lauren Conrad, since she is a fan favorite. I like her look- tan skin, a glow to her cheeks, eyeliner, mascara and a pink or nude gloss to top off her look. It reminds me of my own day to day look. Although she is not a favorite of mine on the show, I think Lauren's look is very achievable and looks like "real girl" makeup. What I mean is that her makeup looks like something I or any other woman could wear on the daily without looking too high maintenance. The thing I like about Lauren's look is that she never looks too perfect. She looks consistently pretty- but it never looks calculated or like her makeup is professionally done all the time (like Heidi- who's look is pretty...but not very achievable for the average girl.) Fashion-wise, I think LC has great style, but as a designer, she needs to grow.

Moving on to Miss Audrina. Many critics have said she wears too much makeup, but I've noticed that her day to day look (when she is running errands and being photographed by the paparazzi) is much more toned down and pretty. She's always got pretty lined eyes and big, lush lashes, which I love. If you love her look, check out her official blog- she lists a lot of her favorite products there and answers her fan's questions about everything from her favorite bronzer to what she eats to stay in shape. I kind of miss her super dark hair- though I do love her color now too, she pulls both off well.

Then there's Heidi. Heidi's makeup, to me at least, appears as though she gets it done professionally every time they are filming The Hills. If she does in fact do her own makeup, then I commend her for her talented makeup application abilities. Like any other show, it would not surprise me if they had makeup artists available to these cast members. Heidi's look is what I consider to be a "full face." She is never without a product- she is always made-up from her foundation to her eyes, lips, cheeks etc. I think she embraces her look, and doesn't care what anyone thinks, which is admirable. I don't think she wears too much makeup, considering she appears on television. I've seen her with less makeup in paparazzi photos, which is a flattering look for her. If you go back to the first season of The Hills (pre plastic surgery- note: I am not against plastic surgery, just stating a fact) you'll notice she also wore a lot less makeup at that time, and she was so cute then too. I just thought she was very fresh-faced and pretty. I think she is pretty now, but her look is more photoshoot than everyday for me. Let's take a look:
This season of The Hills was promoted as "The Bitch is Back." The not-so-nice name they use is referring to is Laguna grad Kristin Cavallari. I really like her look. She pulls off the "almost no makeup" look just as well as a more glam look. I also like her style. She's really evolved from her Laguna boarshort and sweatshirt days. I really like her hair this season, and she seems confident with herself. As far as her makeup goes, she strikes me as a more natural california girl who knows how to look put together without going overboard. I am loving her longer (and lighter) hair this season, but I also love it short- she can really pull it off.

If you would like to learn about some of the products Lauren Conrad's makeup artist uses on her, check out her blog . She claims to use a lot of "Mark" products on Lauren, though I am not sure if this is truly the case, or because LC is a spokesmodel for the company. She also uses a lot of cult faves like NARS Laguna bronzer (Holy Grail alert!) and NARS Orgasm blush- you'll notice her posts about other celebrities she does makeup for include a wide-range of products.

Thanks for reading and please leave me a comment below telling me which "The Hills" girl you like best- whether it is her style, hair or makeup.

Veronika

NOTD: OPI "No Spain, No Gain"

This past Saturday, my best friend came over with a fresh mani/pedi in a gorgeous plum-y, purple-y, berry-ish color that I immediately fell in love with.

She was wearing an OPI color from their fall 2009 "Espagna" collection- "No Spain, No Gain" (can I please have a job as an OPI nail-polish namer. It would be so fun!)

It is a beautiful color and looks more purple and bright in person (doesn't photograph very well). I love this color and will most definitely wear it again and again. I have it on my toes too!

I had the opportunity today to attend a phenomenal seminar called The Up Expereince where 18 speakers- from a deep sea explorer, genetics geniuses, social media gurus, human behavior reserachers, psychologists, astrophysicists and many many more amazingly intelligent and talented people gave 20-minute presensations about their work. I was just blown away by it. I learned about things and theories I never even knew existed.

It was an all-day event, which is why this entry is so short- I am exhausted, but very happy to have been saturated with so much knowledge. If you live in Houston, definitely look into the 2010 session. At $1,000 a ticket, it is pricey, but worth every penny.

Cristiano Ronaldo Hairstyles

The hard core red devils fans call him the "old trafford magician". The highly successful soccer player Cristiano Ronaldo is known for his fabulous enthusiasm and lightning footwork. A strong physique, genuine soccer skill coupled with lovely smile, youthful personality, myriad of hairstyles – all these have made Christiano Ronaldo a heartthrob of many.

Born in Madeira, Portugal, as Cristiano Ronaldo dos Santos, this soccer icon followed his passion for the game right from his childhood. By the age of 18, his immense talent and love for the game earned him a position in Manchester United. He made the soccer fans go crazy with his dribble. After his memorable stints in the year 2006 World Cup, he was showered with several awards including PFA Player of the Year. Besides his bricking success in the sports world, the Portuguese lad got noticed in the fashion world too for his frequently changing and stylish looks.

Christiano Ronaldo got the cameras clicking every time he got his hair styled into a fresh cut. In his early years, the young footballer wore a casually cut hairdo, with a few strands highlighted. Given his facial features, lovely eyes and thick mane, Ronaldo tried some of the cutest hairstyles such as classic taper hairdo. Since he prefers to keep it short, Ronaldo has also been seen in rather simple yet trendy hairdos such as the short curly gelled in style. While he carried off his fauxhawk-mullet hairstyle with great élan, Christiano Ronaldo was seen trying the gelled style hairdo. Among many of Ronaldo's chic hairdo is his spiky cut with copper brown shades. He gets full scores for his signature razor cut with shattered arch and the medium layered cut. Ronaldo’s straightened and iron hairdo goes well with his oval cut face.
